As many of you already know, Dette underwent surgery in early November 2011 on her foot. After several follow-up surgeries, and a lot of care, they were able to save Dette’s foot from amputation. She is doing better, but is still in a protective boot and will be for several months. Consequently, with much thought and consideration she has decided to stop running the dances to concentrate on her recovery. She has asked us to convey her gratitude and appreciation to all of you who have been supporting the Norm & Dette dance socials during the many years that they have been running them. It has been a pleasure and an honor to have danced and socialized with you all. We look forward to seeing you at one of the many other dance events in the future.
